The Restaurant

De Loose Mongoose is a funky beach bar and restaurant nestled on the south-east corner of Trellis Bay, with a mini De Loose Mongoose bar on the beach end of the dock.

Situated right on the beach it is great place to enjoy breakfast, lunch or dinner (served Tuesday – Sunday) and just relax with one of our famous “No See Um” frozen rum cocktails.

Our menu is extensive and caters to all tastes … try some of our homemade conch fritters or treat yourself to one of the best lobster dinners in the BVI.



Our proximity to the airport makes it a great place to hang out before your flight home and while you are here a not to be missed night is our Sunday night BBQ with live entertainment by MJ Blues … one of the best entertainers on the island performing a mixture of reggae, blues, r&b, soca and if we are lucky a rendition of Jimi Hendrix that will leave you thinking the man has come back from the grave!!!



 

You also might get a glimpse of a famous person once in a while … a singing pirate has visited us in the past and a man who has a whole bunch of Virgins!!! We can also cater to large functions (150) and will provide pricing and personalized information on request ... in the past we have had such groups as the Moorings, IBM, Anhauser Busch and numerous flotillas. The outside gazebo bar is a great meeting place for both Trellis Bay locals and visitors a like and the addition of a 32" TV with satellite programming has enabled us to show major sporting events such as SuperBowl, World Series, NBA. Stanley Cup, Americas Cup, F1 Racing and multitude of other things.

So if you are away from home and need to see a specific program please email us and we will see if we can accommodate you. Also on beach beside the Gazebo we have a horseshoe pit and the locals play on Fridays, come on in and try your hand all are welcome!!
